Kodar Energomontaža is commencing work on one of the most significant power transmission projects in the region—the construction of a 400 kV transmission line from the 400/110 kV Bitola 2 Substation, via the 400/110 kV Ohrid Substation, to the border between North Macedonia and Albania.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with partner companies for the investor AD MEPSO, the Electricity Transmission System Operator of North Macedonia, following an international tender financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
It is the largest single project undertaken by AD MEPSO in the past two decades, as well as the first electricity interconnection between North Macedonia and Albania. The project is of strategic importance for the stability and security of the regional power system.
