110 kV Transmission Line TS Guča – TS Ivanjica

A project which went one step further

Investor: EMS A.D.
Country: Republic of Serbia

In order to improve the power grid stability of the Moravica District, an initiative was launched for the execution of a new 110 kV transmission line on the section Guča – Ivanjica. Kodar was hired to complete this complex task – all in accordance with the highest quality standards, complying with the set deadlines and budget.

However, what often remains outshined are preliminary works, which are often the most demanding part of any project. Have all property-legal relations been settled? Does the documentation reflect the actual situation on site? Experience has taught us to expect surprises – and we were not wrong.

It turned out that we were cautious for a reason – property – legal relations were not completely settled, which posed a potential risk of the suspension in the execution of works. On the other hand, by visiting the entire route running through poorly accessible terrain, we established that machines and equipment could not operate in the existing conditions.

We then opted for an unusual, but the only possible solution, i.e. to engage our team of experts to actively assist the Investor in conducting negotiations with local communities and natural persons, thus enabling the property-legal relations to be settled in record time.

At the same time, we were able to use the existing forest roads and provide the minimum number of new passages so that machines and equipment could access the site foreseen for the execution of transmission line tower foundations. We adapted to the specific features of the terrain and fitted into the landscape.

The project was completed in accordance with the required quality, deadline and budget because we faced forward as always – looking for solutions. And this is something that makes us stand out. For us, success is not measured only by kilometers of transmission lines, but also by the trust that we inspire.
