Solar power plant “Novo Selo Power” was built and commissioned in just 90 days

Another step towards a greener energy future of Serbia

The end of 2023 is marked with another important step in the energy transition of Serbia – we have successfully completed the construction of the solar power plant “Novo Selo Power” located in the territory of the municipality of Lebane. This project, whose implementation commenced in July, was completed in a record time of just 90 days. The power plant was commissioned in November and has been operating in full capacity and supplying green energy to the grid.

The power plant covers an area of about 10 hectares and has the expected annual output of more than 13,000 MWh. It incorporates 18,000 new generation monofacial solar panels with the most technologically advanced equipment. The installed capacity at the point of transmission to the power grid is 8 MW.

“Novo Selo Power” annually produces enough green energy to supply around 2,700 households, which directly contributes to the energy security and sustainability of the local community.

At the same time, this project represents a tangible contribution to increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix of Serbia, all in accordance with the strategic development directions determined by the new Energy Law, adopted in 2004.

As a technically complete system – from panels and inverters to low and high voltage elements – the power plant is carefully designed to ensure long-term, efficient and reliable operation.
