Doljevac Solar Power Plant

An example of a smart energy transition

Investor: Doljevac Power d.o.o.
Country: Republic of Serbia

The solar power plant in Doljevac is not just another step towards cleaner energy – it is an example of how engineering, responsibility and strategic planning come together in a smart energy solution.

On the basis of an elaborate connection study, we equipped the power plant with an advanced controller which allows the power distribution company to manage its operation in real time. This means that the system can be flexibly switched on, off or adapted to the grid needs – thus ensuring the stability and security of the power distribution system even when there are changes in electricity consumption or generation.

This technology is what makes the solar power plant in Doljevac a unique project in Serbia – it not only generates energy from renewable sources, but also fits perfectly into the modern vision of smart grids and sustainable development.

Behind every connection, every panel and every megawatt-hour there is a team of dedicated people – engineers, contractors and experts – who managed to implement and complete the project from the ground up within four months. From the excavation of cable ducts to the installation of powerful 700W bifacial monocrystalline solar panels, everything was executed with outstanding precision and passion.

Today, the solar power plant in Doljevac supplies electricity to more than 3,000 households, whereas together with the solar power plant in Lebane, Novo Selo, it provides electricity for more than 5,700 households annually. Thanks to this, the entire municipality of Doljevac uses energy generated from renewable energy sources throughout the year. This is another firm step by Kodar towards increasing the share of renewable energy sources in Serbia’s power grid — and our contribution to the global effort towards a more sustainable future.
