Kodar Energomontaža delivered over 1,000 concrete poles and 2,500 street lighting lamps with the aim of electrifying more than 38,000 home connections in the central part of the city of Monrovia in Liberia.

The project involved the delivery of concrete poles and street lighting with accompanying equipment as part of an EU-funded electrification project.

Since the project was successfully completed, and based on the positive experience in cooperation with Kodar Energomontaža as the first supplier of concrete poles in Liberia, the Liberian Electric Industry (LEC) adopted concrete poles as the basis for all current (WB and AfDB) and future projects.
