In September, 2024, the solar power plant “Novo Selo Power” officially acquired the status of a privileged producer of electricity from renewable energy sources (RES), within the market premium system. This status was granted based on an auction previously launched by the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia.
By obtaining the status of a privileged producer, SPP Novo Selo has become a part of Serbia’s wider strategy for transitioning to a more sustainable energy mix and reducing greenhouse gas emission. Such projects not only strengthen the country’s energy security, but also contribute to the development of local communities and the creation of new employment opportunities.
