Overcoming challenges – Crni Vrh successfully handed over to the Investor

All facilities within the WF Crni Vrh power connection have successfully been handed over to the Investor - within a record time of only 9 months

A major challenge faced in the course of this project was building a completely new plateau covering the area of ​​several thousand square meters for the future transformer substation and the connection switchgear facility, while preserving the natural environment at the same time.

In addition to the execution of foundations, a lot of effort was invested in the installation of a 17 km long 110kV transmission line through highly inaccessible terrain, between valleys and steep slopes where classic methods of transportation and installation of steel pole structures were not sufficient.

The power connection was completed in just nine months which is our great technical achievement, encouraging us to undertake even larger-scale projects. Kodar Energomontaža has successfully implemented 11 complex structures in cooperation with four operators: Elektrodistribucija Srbije (EDS), Elektromreže Srbije (EMS), Telekom Srbije and Crni Vrh Power.

Our project manager, Miloš Jocović, explains “Each of the projects involved five phases: design, equipment supply, construction, commissioning and technical acceptance. We are particularly proud of the execution of TS 33/110kV WF Crni Vrh, CSF 110 kV Crni Vrh 1, as well as single-system transmission line connections that connect existing lines (No. 150, 177 and 122B) with the new infrastructure.”

This take-over is not just the completion of one project – it is the crown of nine successfully implemented units that together mark the beginning of a new chapter in Serbia’s energy sector, where local resources and innovative technologies are used to create a clean and sustainable future. Kodar Energomontaža is proud to have proved its ability to successfully respond to challenges of the modern age through this infrastructure undertaking, setting high standards in the sector of renewable energy sources.
