FTTH Network in Pijnacker-Nootdorp

How We Enabled Fast, Reliable, and Modern Access to the Digital World

Investor: KPN
Country: Netherlands

In the heart of South Holland, in the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp, a clear need emerged for internet that not only connects but also empowers everyday life. KPN, one of the leading telecom operators in the Netherlands, provided us with demarcation points and a list of areas to be covered.

In just six months, from January to June 2023, we successfully delivered one of the most efficient FTTH (Fiber to the Home) projects—by scale and speed, and most notably by service adoption rate. We built a network ready to serve all users within the project area, acquiring and connecting 3,230 out of 3,330 households—achieving an impressive 97% coverage rate.

This success was no coincidence—it was the result of full control and meticulous management of every detail. Kodar stands out with turnkey solutions and a team of in-house experts. The entire project was executed by our team—from design and civil works to fiber installation—without relying on a large number of external subcontractors. The project was engineered in Serbia, while site supervision and project management were carried out directly on location. This eliminated language barriers and ensured fast and efficient information flow. Such an integrated workflow guaranteed seamless coordination across all phases, with minimal disruption to residents’ daily lives.

Following construction, the customer acquisition phase began. Although carried out in cooperation with KPN, we managed the entire process—our sales and acquisition teams communicated directly with end-users, presented the service, and assisted with the onboarding process.

Success is a testament to our commitment, responsibility, and high standards, as well as proof of our ability to lead complex projects in the European market, with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and user experience.
